JESON Agravante and Christine Hallagoso ruled the Metro Manila elimination race of the National Milo Marathon on Sunday at the Mall of Asia grounds.
Former Milo Marathon champion Agravante dominated the 42k men's race with a time of 2:35:10, ahead of Erick Paniqui, who clocked 2:42:41, and Bryan Quinco who finished in 2:43: 59.
The 29-year old national team member was motivated to win the race after he failed to finish last year’s national finals.
Meanwhile, Hallagoso, former 21k runner, bagged her first full marathon title with a time of 3:05:17, while Jho-An Villarma came in at far second in 3:14:2 and Cinderella Lorenzo crossed the finish line at 3:17:46.
Hallagoso, 25, said the actual race felt easier than her training at her hometown in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
Agravante and Hallagoso qualified for the national finals in Laoag on December 9.
