FILINVEST City on Saturday night shone with color from the blacklight headlamps, the eye-catching racing jerseys, and the glowing colored powder that filled the air during the color fun run.
More than 7,000 runners filled the wide avenues of the enclave south of Manila in Brother Philippines’ first partnership with the popular Color Manila and its series of fun runs.
Lalaine Mesina, Brother Philippines marketing manager, said the fun run aims to highlight the release of their new Color Inkjet Multi-Function Centers that combine a printer, copier, scanner and a fax in one model, which now feature the new Refill Tank System. As part of their campaign, Brother, with Color Manila, will also hold morning runs in Cebu and Davao in the following weeks.
“Regular runs are 3km, 5km and 10km, but we made a special 6K category where runners received freebies such as ink pillows and bags to highlight our new printer’s 6,000 page yield,” Mesina explained.

Brother Philippines also invited their customers, partners, and employees who brought along their families who either ran with them or cheered for them en route to the finish line.
Also part of the running contingent were Brother International Philippines president Glenn Hocson; deputy general manager for sales and marketing Masao Kasagi; Jerry Fukuhara, in charge of the sales and marketing department of the ASEAN, Middle East Africa, and India, who flew in from the home office in Nagoya, and two representatives from the Singapore regional office.
Aside from the party-like atmosphere, several distinct features of the night run were the glow color packets and blacklight headlamps each participant received as part of their race kits.
The company also provided several Refill Tank System printers that were raffled off as prizes after the run.
