Ting Ledesma withdraws from POC elections, says candidacy for auditor filed without his consent
Philippine Table Tennis Federation Ting Ledesma spoke to the group of Ricky Vargas but did not commit to any position in their ticket.

PHILIPPINE Table Tennis Federation president Ting Ledesma withdrew his candidacy as auditor in the coming Philippine Olympic Committee elections on Tuesday, saying that his application was without his consent.

Ledesma notified POC election committee chairman Frank Elizalde about the withdrawal.

“In connection with the candidacy form that had been filed with your committee as an auditor, I would like to withdraw the said application for I do not give consent and authority to anyone to file in my behalf,” wrote Ledesma.

Ledesma was supposedly running as auditor in the ticket of Ricky Vargas, who is running for president against incumbent POC president Jose ‘Peping’ Cojuangco.

Ledesma admitted the group of Vargas spoke to him but he didn’t commit to any position in their ticket.

“Humihingi rin ako ng pasensya sa both sides. Mas gusto ko simple lang for the betterment of our sports,” said Ledesma, who was in Indonesia during the final day of submission of candidates last Monday.

“Hindi po ako handa na tumakbo sa POC. My focus is the promotion of table tennis,” said Ledesma.
