OFFICIALS of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) are still waiting for their formal appointment papers to finally function with their respective positions in the government sports agency.

Formal appointment papers of several government officials, including sports commissioners Mon Fernandez, Celia Kiram, Charles Maxey, and Arnold Agustin have yet to be signed by President Duterte owing to his busy schedule.

Kiram admitted the absence of a formal appointment has affected the approval of financial requests made by national sports associations, especially those which are training and competing abroad.

“We can’t convene board meetings kaya marami pang hindi naaprubahan, ‘yung mga requests ng mga NSAs na paalis para sa competition,” said Kiram in an interview over DZSR.

The lady commissioner however, remains hopeful they will get their formal appointment soon.

“We are hoping na by July 31, lumabas na ang appointment papers ng lahat ng agencies kasi napakahirap para as PSC, marami tayong obligations at payables,” Kiram said.
