Boxers Rogen Ladon, Charly Suarez arrive in Rio to join PH Olympians after US training camp

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Rogen Ladon and Charly Suarez have arrived here for the Olympics after undergoing training in the United States.

Ladon and Suarez made it to the Athletes Village around 12 p.m. Rio time from Las Vegas, where they had their training camp in preparation for the Olympics.

Head coach Nolito Velasco accompanied Ladon and Suarez, the country's bets in the sport that is seen as having the best chance at securing the Philippines' first Olympic gold medal.

Ladon and Suarez will start their campaign on August 6.
