Team USA clobbers Venezuela in tuneup game ahead of Rio Olympics

KYRIE Irving and Klay Thompson scored 13 points apiece as Team USA whipped Venezuela, 80-45, in an Olympic tuneup match on Friday in Chicago (Saturday, Manila time).

It was the Americans’ lowest margin of victory in four outings.

Team USA has now won four friendly matches by an average of 42.75 points.

No other Team USA member scored in double figures, with Kevin Durant coming up with nine points and DeMar DeRozan and DeAndre Jordan chipping in wth eight each.
