LAGUNA’s pride Zedrick James Borja dominated the boys 13 to 14 category in Alaska Ironkids Aquathlon on Saturday at Wow Recreation Activity Center in Subic Bay.
Borja clocked 16 minutes and 39 seconds, followed by Ronel Victor Cruz and Clifford Pusing in a less than a minute difference with a time of 00:16:52 and 00:17:23, respectively.
“First year ko pa lang po sa 13-14 this year, hindi ko po talaga akalain na makaka-podium po kaagad ako like this po,” he said.
In the girls’ division, Lady Samanthat Jhunac Corpuz of La Union edged Honny May Yanong to secure the top spot in the 13-14 age group.
Corpuz clocked 00:17:23, Yanong was a second behind with 00:18:08 and in the third spot was Katrina Salazar (00:18:15).
Rob Jarrel Balderas won the 11-12 boys’ division, crossing the finish line with a time of 00:14:09, edging Juan Miguel Tayag (00:14:31) and Jose Maria Tayag (00:15:22).
In the girl’s division of the same category, Aubrey Tom ruled with a time of 00:14:50 followed by Kira Ellis in 00:15:18 and Princess Jullianne Patilan of Olongapo City, 00:15:57.
