Vietnam SEA Games to push through mid-2022

VIETNAM is expected to hold the 31st Southeast Asian Games in May 22022.
An official announcement will be made in a week, according to Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Abraham ‘Bambol’ Tolentino.
The Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Thailand, meanwhile, is expected to be pushed back one year.
Originally scheduled for March 10 to 20 next year, the sixth edition of the Aimag is being moved due to health and safety considerations.
Officials of several sports events included in the AIMAG calendar already confirmed the postponement of the event held once every four years.
Kiefer Ravena instant impact

KIEFER Ravena showed the way as the Shiga Lakestars overcame a huge deficit to beat Thirdy Ravena and the San-En NeoPhoenix in their 2021-22 Japan B. League season opener on Saturday at Ukaruchan Arena.
The 27-year-old Kiefer, who missed the PBA restart with his mother club NLEX Road Warriors as he moved to Japan early for the B.League, saw his team fall behind by 22 points in the third.
But the Lakestars took control with a 21-0 run on the way to the opening win.
Kiefer had 11 points, eight assists, three rebounds and three steals, while Thirdy had 11 points, six rebounds and two steals.
Calvin Abueva, Mikey Williams still 1-2 in BPC race

PLAYER statistics at the end of the first round of the PBA Philippine Cup playoffs showed Calvin Abueva still on top of the race for Best Player of the Conference honors, with 36.4 statistical points.
In his first season with the Magnolia Hotshots, the do-it-all forward is looking to finally lift a PBA title for the first time in eight years. Abueva won the BPC award in 2016, when Alaska wound up second to Rain or Shine.
Abueva is averaging 15.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 blocks.
Mikey Williams is a close second with 35.0 statistical points.
The TNT Tropang Giga rookie averages 17.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals.
The top seeded Tropang Giga battle fourth seed San Miguel Beermen in the semifinals, while No. 3 Magnolia faces No. 2 Meralco in the best-of-seven series.
