    MANNY Pacquiao is hanging up the gloves and focusing on public service.

    The 42-year-old Pacquiao made his retirement from boxing official after a going 62-8-2 (39 KOs).

    Pacquiao won the WBC flyweight title in 1998, his first world title, and went on to become an eight-division world champion.

    THE Philippine national women’s basketball team suffered another huge defeat, bowing to Chinese Taipei by 41 points, 93-52, in the 2021 Fiba Women's Asia Cup at Prince Hamza Hall in Amman.

    It was the third loss in as many games for Gilas Women.

    The Philippines suffered a 91-point loss to China in the opening match before 64-point demolition at the hands of Australia.

    The Filipinas faces India in the classification match for seventh place, with the loser being relegated to Division B.
