SUBIC, Zambales — Philippines’ bets Yancy Kaibigan and Geylord Coveta ruled their respective races to bag two golds in windsurfing in the 30th Southeast Asian Games on Monday at Lighthouse Marina Resort.
Kaibigan had a score of 5.0 points to dominate the men’s windsurfing rs x event, while Coveta topped the rs one event with a score of 7.0 points.
Natthaphong Phonoppharat took the silver (8.0 points) and Abdul Hadi Kame Ahmad Danish copped the silver rs x event.
Navin Singsart of Thailand bagged the silver (10.0 points) and Illham Wahab settled for bronze (13.0 points) in the rs one event.

The Philippine sailing team, for its part, defeated Singapore in the keelboat match event.
The team led by captain Joel Mejarito, Ridgely Balladares, Rubin Cruz Jr., Whik Dimapilis, Richly Magsanay and Edgar Villapaña scored 2-0 against the Singaporeans.
Meanwhile, Charizzanne Jewel Napa won the silver in women rs x event with a score of 8.0.
Cholchaya Junthonglang ruled the event with a score of 6.0 points, while Nenni Marlini took the bronze with a score of 12.0 points.
