VIETNAM overpowered the Philippines, 25-19, 25-21, 25-20, on Monday at the start of the the men’s volleyball competition in the 29th Southeast Asian Games on Monday at MITEC Hall 11 in Kuala Lumpur.
Down 0-2 in the match Ranran Abdilla and Bryan Bagunas gave hope to the Filipino spikers as they took a 16-13 lead in the third.
But the Vietnamese, 2015 SEA Games silver medalists, answered with a 4-0 spurt to take the lead and went on to complete the rout.
