STEPHAN Schrock and Amani Aguinaldo have been chosen as the two overage players who will suit up for the Philippine men’s football team in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
The SEA Games is an under-22 tournament, but organizers have allowed each country to field in a maximum of two overage players. The rule is similar to Olympic football where it allows three players over the age of 23.
Schrock, already 33, leads the cast of Azkals players who will join the under-22 squad. The Fil-German has played for the senior national squad since 2011. Aguinaldo, meanwhile, is 24 years old.

In a Facebook post from the official account of the Azkals, Schrock and Aguinaldo will be joined by many-time UAAP MVP Jarvey Gayoso, Anthony Pinthus, Michael Asong, Justin Baas, Edison Suerti, Mar Vincent Diano, Jordan Jarvis, Marco Casambre, Finn McDaniel, Christian Rontini, Yrick Gallantes, Troy Limbo, Pocholo Bugas, Jerome Marzan, Dylan De Bruycker, Dennis Chung, Chima Uzoka, and JR Suba.
The reserves are AJ Arcilla, Poi Saldivar, Ivan Ouano, JB Borlongan, Jovan Marfiga, Dean Ebarle, and Fritz Brigoli.
