FOLLOWING a close win that left the coaching staff disappointed, the Philippine men’s basketball team was back in fighting form as it breezed past Cambodia, 107-57, on Tuesday in the 27th Southeast Asian Games in Naypyitaw, Myanmar.
The Nationals were never threatened after posting a 25-16 first quarter lead, before outscoring the Cambodians, 19-9, in the next frame.
Mac Belo had 17 points for Sinag Pilipinas as Ronald Pascual mostly did the damage in the first half after a quiet game against Singapore, scoring 16 points on four-of-five shooting from beyond the arc.
Sinag Pilipinas looked energized after a lethargic 88-75 victory over Singapore that saw the Nationals even trailing.
Garvo Lanete and Kiefer Ravena added 12 points each, while Bobby Ray Parks chipped in 10 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals.
