SINGAPORE — The Philippine men’s poomsae team gave taekwondo its first gold in the 28th Southeast Asian Games.
Dustin Jacob Mella, Rodolfo Reyes Jr., and Raphael Enrico Mella scored 7.850 points to win the event held at the Expo Hall 2 for the Philippines’ 23rd gold in the SEA Games.
Vietnam placed second with 7.720 points while Indonesia took third spot with 7.505 points.
Rinna Babanto, Juvenile Faye Crisostomo, and Jocel Lyn Ninobla took the bronze medal in the women’s poomsae event. Babanto also took the silver in the women’s individual poomsae.
