RUBILEN Amit finally beat Chezka Centeno in a Southeast Asian Games billiards competition, winning over her compatriot, 7-3, in the 9-ball finale on Sunday at the Manila Hotel Tent.

Amit ended her losing spell against Centeno in the SEA Games after finishing the match with five straight racks to secure the victory.

The former world 9-ball and 10-ball champion Amit got the gold after three losses to Centeno in the SEA Games including Saturday when she lost in the 10-ball singles final.

Earlier in the day, Amit and Centeno teamed up in the quarterfinals where they beat the Thailand pair of Vutthiphan Kongkaket and Sasiwimon Wannaprathip of Thailand in a nail-biter, 7-6.

    Dennis Orcollo, meanwhile, advanced to the final of the men’s 10-ball singles after beating Aloysius Yapp of Singapore, 9-7.

    Warren Kiamco won over Amnuayporn Chotipong of Thailand, 9-7, to reach the quarterfinals of the men’s 9-ball singles.
