SINGAPORE — Ronel Estanislao and Philip Joper Escueta advanced to the semifinals with a 21-8, 21-10 victory over Cambodia’s Kanora Nguon and Yong Vannak Teav in the badminton doubles on Monday in the 28th Southeast Asian Games at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Standing in their path to the final are Indonesians Marcus Fernaldi and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo, who eliminated the Thai pair of Bodin Issara and Nipitphon Puangpuapech, 14-21, 21-15, 21-11.
They face off later on Monday.
The other semifinal pits Indonesia’s Ricky Karanda Suwardi and Angga Pratama against Danny Bawa Chrisnanta and Chayut Triyachart of Singapore.
