ROGEN Ladon claimed his first-ever gold medal in the Southeast Asian Games, beating Yaodam Ammarit of Thailand via unanimous decision on Monday at the PICC Forum.

The Asian Games silver medalist captured a gold in biennial meet after finishing with a silver four years ago in Singapore in the light flyweight division.
The judges scored the bout, 30-25, 30-27, 30-26, 30-27, 30-27.

Ladon was the second gold medalist in boxing for the Philippines after Carlo Paalam wrested the light flyweight tiara.
