STILL high over pole-vaulter EJ Obiena and recently gymnast Carlos Yulo qualifying for the 2020 Olympics, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) has unveiled a program tailor-fit for the two Tokyo-bound athletes.

PSC chairman Butch Ramirez assured all-out support for Obiena, who is being trained by celebrated coach Petrov Vitaly and father Emerson, assists during his overseas training and ensures continuity while they are in Manila.

Under the Ramirez plan, the pole vault champ's team will be beefed up by a physiotherapist, sports nutritionist and sports psychologist. The PSC will also provide him support to cover his housing and nutrition requirements.

“If this works, then we will adapt this in the next cycles,” said Ramirez adding that it can be called the 'Obiena template.'

Ramirez, who received Obiena and his family in his office on Tuesday, reminded the pole vaulter to play without pressure and not forget to have fun.
