TOKYO 2020 is the ultimate target for Margielyn Didal, but she is nevertheless expected to put on a show in the 30th Southeast Asian Games.
Skateboarding makes its debut in the biennial meet, and Didal has been dubbed as one of the top gold medal contenders — and she can see action in two events.
Tagaytay City will host the sport from Dec. 3 to 8, with four events each for men and women – street, park and the game of skate.
Local officials have yet to finalize the entry list, but Didal is definitely top choice for any event in the program.
The Cebuana skateboarder has done it in the continental level when she won gold in the 2018 Asian Games in Palembang and continued to prove her worth with fine performances on the international circuit including wins recently in the Exposure All Women’s Skateboarding Championships in Huntington Beach and the Ladies Day at The Berrics in Los Angeles.
