THE Philippines won the four events at the start of obstacle course copetitions on Wednesday in the 30th Southeast Asian Games at the Filinvest City in Alabang, Muntinlupa.
Kevin ‘Popoy’ Pascua and Rochelle Suarez topped the individual 100-meter x 10 obstacle in the men’s and women’s division while Filipinos in the mixed team assist 400-meter x 12 obstacle and the mixed team relay 400-meter x 12 obstacle also won.

Pascua topped the two heats with times of 30.99 and 29.92 seconds to beat Mohd Redha Rozlan of Malaysia. Suarez also won the two heats in the final with clockings of 47.02 and 46.70 to beat compatriot Milky Mae Tejares.
Kyle Redentor Antolin, Kaizen Dela Serna, Monolito Divina, and Deanne Nicole Moncada won the mixed team assist gold by also topping the two heats with times of three minutes, 49.37 seconds and 3:48.35.
Malaysia placed second with times of 4:40.72 and 4:29.28.

The mixed team relay team composed of Diana Buhler, Jeffrey Reginio, Klymille Keilah Rodriguez, and Nathaniel Sanchez timed 2:00.92 and 1:59.56 to beat Malaysia, which clocked 2:05.38 and 2:01.68.
The Philippines will compete in two more events in the individual 5k x 20 obstacle race for men and women.
