SUBIC, Zambales — The Philippines settled for the bronze in the beach handball as the 30th Southeast Asian Games comes to a close on Wednesday at the converted Subic Tennis Court.

The host country, which bowed to Thailand, 18-19, 16-21, captured its first-ever handball medal in the biennial meet.
Vietnam bagged the gold, while Thailand won the silver.

Later in the day, the closing ceremonies will be held at the New Clark City at Capas, Tarlac.
