BANGKOK – Peter Groseclose ruled the men’s short track speed skating 500m final on Friday for a 33rd Southeast Asian Games gold medal at the IWIS International Ice Skating Training Center.
The 2024 Winter Youth Olympian had a clocking of 42.478 seconds to overcome Ong Ryo Yik of Singapore by 1.114 seconds.
Winter sports such as speed skating made it to this year’s SEA Games, enabling Groseclose to compete in this part of the world.

The 18-year-old speed skater also captured the silver in the 1500m.
Winter sports made its return to the SEA Games after it was last held in 2019 in Manila.
