CHONBURI, Thailand – The youngest gold medalist of the Philippines in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games goes to Mazel Paris Alegado.

At 11 years old, Alegado is already a SEA Games winner with her exploits in the women’s park final in extreme skateboarding, recording a score of 79.72 to overwhelm the competition which drew competitors as young as nine with the oldest at 19.

Alegado’s closest rival was compatriot Elizabeth Amador, also at aged 11, after she scored 72.03 on her way to the silver medalist.

The bronze winner was a far third with Freya Sanya of Thailand in third with 64.13
Alegado, who already competed for the Philippines in the 2023 Asian Games, essentially won the gold as early as the preliminaries when she had 78.70 in her third and final qualifying run, with the second placer being Cinta Nyimas Bunga of Indonesia with 68.31.
