TAGAYTAY - Margielyn Didal and Daniel Ledermann swept the gold medals in the game of S.K.A.T.E. event in skateboarding on Thursday in the 30th Southeast Asian Games at the Sigtuna Hall here.
Didal and Ledermann wowed the home fans with their difficult tricks to secure the first two gold medals in skateboarding's debut in the biennial showpiece.
Didal, the reigning Asian Games champion in the street event, beat compatriot Christiana Means in an event similar to a game of H.O.R.S.E. in basketball.
Ledermann followed suit by beating 12-year-old Indonesian Basral Hutomo to complete the sweep for the host team.

Didal showed her superiority with her difficult tricks and clinched the victory with an ollie body varial which Means failed to duplicate.
The Cebuana skateboarder was also on the offense side for the entire match and never allowed Means to do her moves.
It was a different story for Ledermann, a Fil-German born in Cebu. The match was all tied at S.K.A. when Ledermann did a 360 frontside shove and a laser flip to win the gold before a good-sized crowd.
Didal and Ledermann will try to make it two golds when they competed in the street on Friday at the Tagaytay Skate Park.
