MARGIELYN Didal won her second gold medal in the 30th Southeast Asian Games skateboarding competitions at the Tagaytay City Extreme Sports Complex.
Didal scored 12.7 points in women's street, the same event where she won the gold in the 2018 Asian Games last year in Palembang, Indonesia. She beat compatriot Christiana Means, who had 7.3, and Kyandra Susanto of Indonesia, who had a 4.0.
It was a huge follow-up to Didal’s victory in the game of S.K.A.T.E. on Thursday.
Renzo Mark Feliciano of the Philippines captured the silver medal in the men’s division with a score of 20.6. Sanggoe Darma Tanjung of Indonesia wound up with the gold with a score of 21.2
In the downhill event in Maragondon, Cavite, Abigail Palomeno Viloria and Rydelle Grace Abarico finished first and second in the preliminaries with times of 1:33.03 and 1:34.21 in the first two runs.
Jaime Rafael De Lange and Duke Raphael Pandeagua were also in the top two after combined times of 1:28.40 and 1:29.49.
