MALAYSIA and Myanmar endured a malfunctioning scoreboard in their men's football debut in the 30th Southeast Asian Games on Monday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Malaysia and Myanmar fought to a 1-1 draw to kick off their Group A campaign, but played without the benefit of a scoreboard from kick off to the final whistle.

That was just the latest glitch to hit the competition at the renovated stadium, which still had dozens of workers working on its facade just hours before the match.

Coaches and players from both sides also were directed to another area for their post-match press conferences, avoiding the much-maligned press center set up at the unfinished squash venue.

The coaches ended up holding court under the stars, in an area beside the parking lot.

    Look.

At the end of the game, organizers at the venue told the media men that the post-match will be held at the mixed zone, set up outside of the stadium.
