Kim Mangrobang ruled the women’s triathlon of he 30th Southeast Asian Games on Sunday at Subic Bay Boardwalk.
The 28-year old Mangrobang, who finished the swim-bike-run race in two hours and two minutes, hoped that through the sport she can influence the youth in a positive way.
“Sobrang maganda to sa Filipino and syempre para maka-impluwensya rin sa mga bata,” said Mangrobang.
Kim Kilgroe bagged silver to give the Philippines a second 1-2 finish in the sport.

Rambo Chicano and Andrew Kim Remolino earlier took the top two spots in the men's triathon podium.
“We wanna push ourselves, and raise Philippine flag up higher and that’s one of the greatest because there’s so much potential,” said Kilgroe.
Mangrobang, who topped the 2017 edition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, bagged her second consecutive SEA Games gold.
In 2017, Claire Adorna placed second behind Mangrobang.
