HONORIO Banario and Emmanuel Cantores clinched spots in the semifinals on Monday, assuring themselves of at least a bronze medal in the 31st Southeast Asian Games.
Banario, the ONE Championship fighter, defeated Tanoi Yermias Yohanes of Indonesia, 3-0, in the quarterfinals of the men’s low kick -71 kilograms to clinch a place in the medal rounds.

Cantores followed by beating Kamarrudin Ain of Malaysia, 3-0, to secure a semifinal berth in the men’s low kick -60 kilogram.
Banario and Cantores join fellow Team Lakay standout Jean Claude Saclag, who made it to the semifinals of the men’s low kick -63.5 kilograms.
However, Daryl Chulipas was ousted by Pattisamallo Salmri Stendra of Indonesia, 3-0.
