Jones Inso finally wins gold in SEA Games wushu

CHONBURI, Thailand – In the five previous times that Agatha Wong snagged the gold medal in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, her male counterpart were unable to win the gold.

Until Monday.

Jones Inso ruled the men’s taijiquan + taijijian final with a total score of 19.563, beating Singapore bets Tay Yu Xuan with a score of 19.543 and Chan Jun Kai with a score of 19.530.

Inso finally scored a breakthrough win in the SEA Games after two consecutive silvers in the 2019 and 2021 before going medal-less in 2023.

The 28-year-old was a bronze medalist in the Asian Games in Hangzhou in the taijiquan + taijijian event

The Philippines finally swept the taijiquan + taijijian event that is part of the taolu competitions that has been ruled by Wong including this year when she claimed her sixth gold medal of her SEA Games career.
