PATTAYA, Thailand – John Ivan Cruz was named as the co-gold medalist in the men’s vault of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games artistic gymnastics competition at the Thammasat University Gym.
Cruz shared the gold with Malaysia’s Aimy Muhammad Sharul after they both registered 13.833. Initially listed as the silver winner, Cruz tabbed the gold following a “successful protest and review” according to a pool report.
Gymnastics now has two gold medals, sweeping the vault event with Aleah Finnegan also topping the apparatus on Thursday.
