JOHN Derick Farr made it a double gold in the downhill mountain biking when he captured the men’s division of the 30th Southeast Asian Games cycling event at the Tatlong Bungo in Barangay Niyugan, Laurel, Batangas.
Farr crossed the finish line with a time of two minutes, 41.143 seconds to beat compatriot Eleazar Barba, who clocked 1.360 seconds later in a close finish.
Andy Prayoga of Indonesia placed third with a time of 2:47.868.
Farr completed the sweep of the mountain bike downhill event after Lea Denise Belgira captured the women’s crown.
Belgira clocked 3:09.781 to dominate the field, winning the gold by 7.205 seconds over Tiara Andini Prastika of Indonesia.
Vipavee Deekaballes of Thailand took the bronze with a time of 3:17.607.
