AGEO Medics is disallowing Jaja Santiago to suit up for the women’s national volleyball team in the 30th Southeast Asian Games.
Larong Volleyball Sa Pilipinas Inc. president Joey Romasanta bared to Spin.ph Santiago’s message to national team head coach Shaq Delos Santos that the Japanese club won’t let the 6-foot-5 middle blocker to play in the Philippines SEA Games from November 30 to December 10.
“Hi Coach, Good morning po. Nakausap ko na po yung agent ko and Hindi po umagree yung Japan team ko for Seagames. Gagawa na po ata sila ng letter,” wrote Santiago, who is already in Japan since Friday last week.

With a heavy heart, Santiago has to comply as Japan V. Premier League opens on October 27.
“Hinihintay ko lang po yung letter na galing talaga sakanila. Hindi ko alam coach alam kong di rin magiging madali para saakin,” said the former National University star.
Delos Santos and the LVPI are not yet closing their doors on the national team mainstay as they are still communicating with Santiago.
“Sa ngayon kasi wala pang final decision. Waiting pa rin kami sa magiging usapan ng club,” Delos Santos told Spin.ph.
However, the former UAAP MVP will surely miss the 12-day national team training camp in Thailand as the Filipina spikers leave on Saturday before seeing action in the Southeast Asian Grand Prix in Nakhon Ratchasima from September 20 to 22.
Spin.ph tried to reach Santiago to get her side but she has yet to reply as of posting time.
