SUBIC, Zambales – Hermie Macaranas made it all the way to the top this time, bagging gold in the men’s 200m single canoe race in the 30th Southeast Asian Games on Saturday.
The Filipino posted 43.60 seconds, with Myanmar’s Win Myo Hlaing taking silver in 43.75 and Vietnam’s Duong Anh Duc placing third in 44.33.
Macaranas settled for silver on Friday in the 1000m event, behind Thailand’s Mahawattanagkul Pitpiboon.
