Head coach Chot Reyes hopes for a more solid game this time, saying unfamiliarity was a factor in their first clash in the SEA Games.
“It showed in our turnovers. We had 19 turnovers. Our unfamiliarity with each other showed,” said Reyes.
Eyes will again be on June Mar Fajardo as the Philippine team tries to recover from the shaky opening match.
June Mar Fajardo had 28 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocks to lead Gilas to the opening victory.
