PATTAYA, Thailand – Gilas Pilipinas Men 3x3 survived a scare from Malaysia before pulling off a 21-19 win and staying unbeaten on Wednesday in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games at the Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok.
Joseph Sedurifa knocked down a two-point shot to break a 19-19 deadlock with 1:19 left for the walk-off win to make it 2-0 for Gilas Men 3x3, which moved a step closer to a sweep of Group B and a place in the semifinals.

Earlier in the day, the team that also has Ange Kouame, Joseph Eriobu, and Janrey Pasaol defeated Vietnam, 21-15.
The Philippines will look to close the group stage with another victory against winless Laos on Thursday, 11 a.m. local time (12 noon Manila time).
Gilas 3x3 pounded the ball to Kouame inside and looked headed for a comfortable win after a 16-12 lead, but Malaysia racked up five straight points to grab the lead.
Kouame made a lay-up for a 19-17 advantage but Malaysia made two free throws after a shooting foul by Pasaol.
But Pasaol forced Malaysia into a turnover, setting up Sedurifa for the game-winner.
