BANGKOK - Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 Men succumbed to Singapore, 21-20, in the semifinals to miss out on the gold medal in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.
With that, Gilas is relegated to the bronze medal game against Malaysia.
The Philippines will be unable to repeat its 2023 campaign where it made it to the finals, but lost to Cambodia to settle for the silver medal.
The national team of Ange Kouame, Joseph Eriobu, Joseph Sedurifa, and Janrey Pasaol had leads in the game, but Singapore fought back and took the lead.
They also missed critical layups in the endgame to suffer the upset defeat.
Gilas 3x3 will go up against Malaysia in a rematch of its group stage game where the Filipinos scored a close win, 21-19.
