THE Philippine taekwondo community is rejoicing, not for a gold medal victory, but for one of its forner stars who passed the 2015 Bar Exams.
Francesca Camille Alarilla, a member of the poomsae team that won in the world poomsae championships and Southeast Asian Games years ago, was one of the 1,731 who passed the 2015 Bar Examinations when the result was released on Tuesday.
After being called a world champion, Alarilla can now be called a lawyer.
Alarilla was a member of the Philippine team that won gold the 2009 World Poomsae Championship in Egypt along with Janice Lagman and Rani Ann Ortega.
The trio also won the SEA Games gold in Laos that year and repeated the feat in 2011 in Indonesia.
