FILIPINO skaters made it to the top three in the short program of the men's ice skating competition Friday at the 30th Southeast Asian Games at SM Megamall Skating Rink in Mandaluyong.
Christopher Caluza finished second with his 62.37 points.
He got 32.46 points from technical elements, while also taking 29.91 from presentation, consisting of 6.0 from skating skills, 5.83 from transitions, 6.08 from performance, and both 6.0 points for composition and from interpretation of music.
Edrian Paul Celestino wasn't far behind at third with his 61.52 points.
He took 32.01 from technical elements, as well as 29.51 from presentation, consisting of 6.08 from skating skills, 5.67 from transitions, and 5.92 each for performance, composition, and interpretation of music.
Julian Yee of Malaysia topped the short program with his 63.35 points.
The skaters will have a chance to boost their standings with the free skate competition set on Sunday.
