MUEANG CHONBURI, Thailand – Mallie Ramirez scored a goal in injury time as the Filipinas kept their semifinal hopes alive with a 1-0 win over reigning champion Vietnam in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games women's football tournament at the Chonburi FC Stadium.
Ramirez, in her first tournament as a senior, connected off a rebound on stoppage time for a dramatic victory that enabled the Philippines to earn a share second place in Group B along with Vietnam ahead of the final matches in the group stage.

The Philippines faces Malaysia and Vietnam takes on Myanmar on December 11.
Ramirez also scored the goal in the Philippines’ 2-1 loss to Myanmar, with the Filipinas being defeated in the match on a late goal.
Despite being tied with three points, Vietnam still holds the advantage in terms of goal difference with a +6, and the Philippines with a 0. Myanmar leads Group B after beating Myanmar, 3-0, early in the day for its second straight victory.
