DANIELA Reggie Dela Pisa and Shieldannah Sabio reached the finals of the rhythmic gymnastics competitions of the 30th Southeast Asian Games Friday at Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
Dela Pisa progressed to the medal rounds of all four apparatus, while Sabio got in three and will be the first replacement in the other after the classifications.
Dela Pisa was second in hoop with after getting 16.250, behind leader Izzah Amzan of Malaysia who scored 16.800.
The 16-year-old Filipina gymnast placed third in ball with 15.150, fourth in clubs with 16.050, and 11th in ribbon with 11.000.
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old Sabio had her best showing in ribbon, placing fifth with 13.300.
She was ninth in hoop with a score of 12.900 and 10th in clubs with 13.900.
Sabio will also be holding out hope that her number gets called as she'll be the first replacement in ball, where she placed 10th with a score of 12.550.
Fellow Filipinas Reyna Jean Cornel and Marian Nicolle Medina missed the cut in all four disciplines.
The rhythmic gymnastics finals are set on Saturday.
