PHILIPPINE track legends Elma Muros-Posadas and Lydia De Vega reunited on Wednesday during the sendoff for Team Philippines in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
Muros-Posadas and De Vega were two of the special guests in the event dubbed as Team Philippines Sendoff ng Bayan at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium where the legends will be giving inspirational messages to the Filipino athletes.
Muros-Posadas couldn't help but get teary-eyed when she met De Vega after several years. The 54-year-old De Vega is already based in Singapore working in a school.

“Na-excite ako kasi naiimagine ko ‘yung mukha niya. Idol ko siya eh,” said the 52-year-old Muros-Posadas.
Muros-Posadas and De Vega were the standard bearers of Philippine sports, with 24 gold medals in the SEA Games between them, 15 from Muros-Posadas.
