BANGKOK – EJ Obiena led the Philippines’ four-gold haul in Day 7 of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games but the contingent stayed at sixth place in overall medal tally.
Another Paris Olympian Joanie Delgaco teamed up with Kristine Paraon for the gold in the women’s rowing double sculls, Zyra Bon-as captured the women’s 48kg low kick kickboxing title, and Jasmine Althea Ramilo seized the rhythmic gymnastics all-around crown on Tuesday.

After winning half of output from last Monday, the Philippines still ended up at sixth place at the end of Tuesday’s action with a tally of 29-45-94 gold-silver-bronze, with Malaysia at fifth with 30-31-88.
Thailand remains on top of the overall tally with 160-100-66, followed by Indonesia (62-72-72), Vietnam (48-55-79), and Singapore (37-35-48).
Mariel Abuan in the athletics high jump and Yacine Guermali in the men’s 10,000m were among the silver medalists of the day.

Among the bronze medalists are Jessa Mae Roda in the men’s 3000m steeplechase, Cris Nievarez in the rowing men’s single sculls, Floryvic Montero in the kickboxing women’s 51kg, Nathaniel Perez in the fending individual foil, and Charmaine Grace Andres in the fencing women’s sabre.
