DANIEL Parantac settled for bronze in the men's taolu taijiquan of the 30th Southeast Asian Games wushu competitions on Sunday at World Trade Center.
Performing first, the 29-year-old set the pace with a 9.56 score but Loh Choon How of Malaysia quickly seized the lead with a 9.68 on his way to a gold medal.
Brunei's Hosea Wong Zheng Yu also jumped over Parantac for the silver with his score of 9.59 after performing last of the eight participants.
Filipino bet Jones Llabres Inso missed the cut with his score of 9.54 as he finished at fourth.
Meanwhile, Johnzenth Gajo also fell short in the taolu changquan, finishing seventh out of 10 competitors with his score of 9.51.
Singapore's Yi Xiang Yong claimed the gold with a score of 9.70, Malaysia's Weng Son Wong took the silver at 9.68, and Vietnam's Tran Xuan Hiep had the bronze with his 9.60.
Thornton Sayan also finished sixth in nandao combine with his score of 9.59.
Mohammad Adi Dalihin Roslan of Brunei currently paces the list with his score of 9.64, while closely behind him is Indonesia's Harris Horatius and Vietnam's Quoc Khanh Pham both with their identical score of 9.63.
Sayan will try to catch up with the nangun part slated on Monday.
