CALOY Yulo will be seeing action in all seven events in the men’s artistic gymnastics of the 2021 Southeast Asian Games and while he is looking to improve on his haul from the previous meet, he says a sweep will be very tough.
The Filipino star won the all-around and floor in the last edition of the SEA Games at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum, while bagging silver in the vault, pommel horse, parallel bars, rings, and horizontal bars.
“May events na medyo tagilid po siguro like pommel horse. May chance na hindi ko makuha ‘yung gold kasi marami ring magagaling sa Southeast Asia,” said the 22-year-old Yulo . “Pero ita-try ko best ko.”
Caloy Yulo has a new routine
Yulo said he has been working hard in Japan for his new routines that he will be displaying in the SEA Games since there are rule changes with regards to scoring in the sport.
“Nagbago po ‘yung rules so bago rin ‘yung routine ko. Hindi ko lang pinopost o pinapakita sa social media. Sekreto po muna. Especially sa floor, nagbago po ako,” said Yulo, who promised to show the new routines in the SEA Games.
