KUALA LUMPUR - Baser Amer is considered day-to-day for Gilas Pilipinas in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games after suffering an injury in the game against Thailand on Sunday, according to coach Jong Uichico.
The Meralco guard missed Tuesday's win against Myanmar, 129-34, after hurting his thigh on Sunday in the opening victory over Thailand, 81-74.
"Natuhod (thigh) sa Thailand," said Uichico, who was non-committal if Amer will play against Malaysia on Wednesday at the MABA Stadium.
"We hope he will be ready (against Malaysia)," he added.
Amer was one of the key players who made big shots in Gilas’ close win over Thailand, before sitting out the game against Myanmar.
"Day-to-day," Uichico added. "Actually, (against Myanmar), hindi talaga siya puwede."
