SINGAPORE — Vietnam overcame April Manganang’s 42 points to beat Indonesia, 25-20, 25-20, 21-25, 16-25, 15-10, on Thursday for its second win in Pool B of the 28th Southeast Asian Games women’s volleyball tournament at the OCBC Arena Hall 2.
Bui Thi Nga had 17 points to lead the Vietnamese, who will go for a sweep of the preliminaries against the Philippines on Saturday.
Amalia Nabila scored 17 points for Indonesia
Indonesia faces Malaysia on Friday, a day off for the Philippines.
The top two teams in each group advance to the semifinals and are assured of bronze medals.
Pool B standings: Vietnam 2-0, Indonesia 1-1, Philippines 1-1, Malaysia 0-2.
