ANNIE Ramirez and Adrian Guggenheim brought home the final two gold medals in jiu jitsu in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games at the Laus Convention Center in New Clark City.
Guggenheim scored a quick win over Willy Willy of Indonesia, applying a masterful armbar at the 1:17 mark of the gold medal clash in U77kg division.
Ramirez, on the other hand, dominated J Poyong Cassandra of Malaysia for a 3-0 win in the women’s U55kg division.
The wins raised the Philippines’ haul in the sport to five after Meggie Ochoa, Dean Roxas and Carlo Pena won gold medals on Monday.
Meanwhile, Luigi Ladera settled for silver after losing Thaland’s Netthip Natdanai by points in U94 KG division.
Peter Lawrence Meimban settled for bronze in the -120kg division.
Indonesia’s Muhammad Noor ruled the overweight category, Thailand’s Phanuphong Kitpongpanit earned silver, while Vietnam's Minh Tien Luu shared third place with Meimban.
Apryl Eppinger shared third place with Orapa Senathram of Thailand in the -62kg. category.
Singapore’s Tianan Constance Lien who clinched the gold, whgile Ngoc Tu Nguyen of Vietnam took home the silver medal. With Kate Reyes
