AGATHA Wong earned gold in the 30th Southeast Asian Games wushu competitions, ruling the women's taolu taijiquan event on Sunday at World Trade Center.
The 21-year-old garnered a score of 9.67 points from the judges to defend her tiara after performing fifth.
It was a sweet repeat for Wong, who also topped the event two years ago in Kuala Lumpur.
Wong's victory adds to the early gold haul the morning after the openign rites, with Rambo Chicano ruling the triathlon competition in Subic.
Basma Lachkar of Brunei tallied a score of 9.55 to take the silver medal, while Thi Minh Huyen Tran of Vietnam got a score of 9.53 to bag the bronze.
