PSC forms task force to handle athletes and coaches' complaints against national sports associations

PSC Commissioner Ramon Fernandez said the investigation of the karatedo federation by the National Bureau of Investigation will be completed soon.

THE Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) has created a task force that will look into complaints by athletes and coaches over their respective national sports associations.

PSC commissioner Mon Fernandez said he is encouraging athletes and coaches to approach the PSC for complaints after the task force was created by chairman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez.

The task force is headed by PSC executive director Sannah Frivaldo.

“The chairman has created a task force for all of these to handle all complaints. We are asking all athletes and coaches shortchanged by their NSAs to let us know,” said Fernandez in a statement.

The task force was made after the PSC suspended financial support from the Philippine Karatedo Federation, which is embroiled in a controversy after a few athletes submitted a complaint over alleged mishandling of funds during a training camp in Europe.

Fernandez said the investigation of the karatedo federation by the National Bureau of Investigation will be completed soon.
