THE Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) launched its very own coffee table book to commemorate the first 25 years of the government agency.
PSC chairman Richie Garcia led the launch of the coffee table book titled The Triumph of Philippine Sports in 25 Years, which features the accomplishments of Filipino athletes since the government sports agency was established in 1990.
“The PSC coffee table book is the story of Philippine sports in 25 years, summed up in one book, which is among our legacy to all our sports partners and stakeholders,” said Garcia on Thursday.
Garcia also said the book aims to inspire the current and future generations to continue building the future of Philippine Sports.
“The PSC coffee table book will help us follow and give value to the performance and triumphs of the past, and then will form inspirational imprints that will set a flame that passion that will inspire us to continue building a future of excellence in sports.“
Also present in the said event was Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Jose 'Peping' Cojuangco Jr., who praised the PSC under Garcia for focusing their efforts on the youth
“Congratulations to this Commission, the first that took the youth under their care. It was only under this Commission that we have attracted a lot youth into sports,” Cojuangco said.
